PROJECT KEEP A WARRIOR WARM – PHASE 4
The fourth edition of Project Keep A Warrior Warm took place in Ojodu Local Government on October 13th, 2018. It is a medical outreach which aimed at educating the under-privileged on Sickle Cell prevention and maintenance.
It was an enriching and fun event for children and adults as the event also featured a sickle cell themed party, where the knowledge that was earlier shared was put to the tests through various games. We had about 250 people from the community in attendance. Genotype and blood group tests were conducted, party packs, food, toiletries and clothes were given out to the community. We ensured that the children identified as those living with the sickle cell condition were given medication, sweaters and water bottles.
